Joey Beltran made his middleweight debut earlier this year with a majority decision win over Brian Rogers and he will look to improve to 2-0 in the division on Friday when he meets Kendall Grove in the co-main event of Bellator 143.
Beltran (16-11, 1NC) has gone 2-2 since coming back to Bellator and a victory over Grove on Friday night could led to a potential title shot against the winner of the upcoming vacant title fight between Brandon Halsey and Rafael Carvalho.
During last week’s episode of The MMA Report Live, Beltran joined the show to discuss his successful middleweight debut against Rogers and his fight against Grove. Also, Beltran gave his feelings on people who recently left Alliance MMA and what he went through last year when he broke his jaw against Emanuel Newton.
