Bellator 164 will take place today in Israel and the main card will feature a featherweight bout as Georgi Karakhanyan will look for his second straight victory when he meets Bellator newcomer Kirill Medvedovsky.
Karakhanyan (25-6-1) enters this fight following a 53-second knockout against Bubba Jenkins at Bellator 160 in August and he has gone 2-2 since coming back to Bellator at the beginning of last year. Following his win at Bellator 160, he signed a new contract with Bellator and he will be looking for back to back victories for the first time since 2013.
During Wednesday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Karakhanyan was a guest on the podcast to preview his fight today against Medvedovsky and explained that he is considering a move up to the lightweight division following this fight.
