Bellator 175: Rampage vs. King Mo II Pre-Fight Stats

Bellator 175 will take place tomorrow night from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and will be headlined by a rematch as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson meets Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal in a heavyweight bout.

Along with the heavyweight main event, the five fight main card on Spike (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT) will see a key matchup in the featherweight division as former Bellator bantamweight champion Marcos Galvao moves up to the 145 pound division to face Emmanuel Sanchez in the co-main event of the fight card.

Prior to the main card on Spike, the preliminary card on Bellator.com (7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT) will feature several local fighters including former Legacy Fights bantamweight champion Manny Vazquez meeting Nate Williams.

Now let’s take a closer look at the five fights that will take place on the main card.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (37-11) vs. Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (20-6, 1 NC)
The first meeting between Jackson and Lawal came in 2014 at Bellator 120 in the season ten light heavyweight tournament final and Jackson scored a controversial unanimous decision victory. Since that meeting, Jackson was score decision victories against Fablo Maldonando and Satoshi Ishii.

  • Jackson’s 5 fight winning streak is the longest of his career since winning 6 in a row from October 2005 to September 2007.
  • Since losing the UFC light heavyweight title in 2008 against Forrest Griffin, Rampage is 9-3 and six of those wins have come by decision.

Lawal enters Bellator 175 following a TKO defeat against Mirko Cro Cop in the Rizin openweight tournament and is 8-2 since losing to Jackson at Bellator 120. Prior to the defeat against Cro Cop, Lawal scored a decision victory against Ishii and two of his last four victories have come by knockout.

  • Currently has the 2nd most wins in Bellator light heavyweight division history and is tied with multiple fighters for the 5th most wins in Bellator history.
  • This will be Lawal’s 14th fight in Bellator, which will tie him with Rich Hawn, Daniel Straus and Brennan Ward for the 4th most fights in Bellator history.
  • Most TKO/KO wins in Bellator light heavyweight division history and tied with multiple fighters for the 4th most TKO/KO victories in Bellator history.

Emmanuel Sanchez (14-3) vs. Marcos Galvao (18-7-1)
“El Matador” will be looking for his seventh win in the Bellator cage when he welcomes Galvao to the featherweight division. Five of Sanchez’s six victories in the Bellator cage have come by decision and he is coming off a majority decision win against Georgi Karakhanyan.

  • Sanchez has the 6th most wins in Bellator featherweight division history.
  • Since winning his Bellator debut by submission in the first round, Sanchez has gone the distance in his last seven fights.
  • Four of his six wins in Bellator have come by split or majority decision.

Galvao moves up to the featherweight division after having twelve fights in the Bellator bantamweight division. His is coming off a split decision win against LC Davis at Bellator 166 and he is 8-2 in his last ten fights.

  • Tied with Zack Makovsky for the 3rd most wins in Bellator bantamweight division history.
  • This will be his thirteenth fight in Bellator and this will give him the 5th most fights in Bellator history.

Sergei Kharitonov (23-6) vs. Chase Gormley (14-5)
Kharitonov was signed by Bellator last year after winning five in a row and ended up dropping his promotional debut against Javy Ayala at Bellator 163. He lost that fight by knockout in 16-seconds and it was his first defeat by TKO/KO since losing to Alexander Emelianenko in 2006.

  • Prior to his Bellator debut, his previous four victories had come by TKO and two of those wins came against Kenny Garner in M-1 Challenge.
  • Thirteen of his twenty-nine wins have come by TKO/KO.

Gormley has won back to back fights by split decision after losing his Bellator debut against Dan Charles and he is 7-1 in his last eight fights. His most recent win came in October at Bellator 162 against Bobby Brents and his last stoppage victory came in 2014 against Tony Lopez.

  • Eight of his fourteen wins are by decision.
  • Was signed by Bellator in 2015 after winning the Titan FC heavyweight title.

Steve Kozola (7-0) vs. Jake Roberts (7-1)
After being on the sidelines for the last year, Kozola returns to Bellator and will be looking for his third win in the promotion. In his last fight, he scored a TKO victory against Matt Church and four of his last five victories have come in the opening round.

  • This will be his first fight in 363 days.
  • All of his wins have come by finish and six of his seven victories are by TKO/KO.
  • Has never made it to the third round in his professional career.

After starting with seven straight victories, Roberts dropped his first fight last year at Bellator 165 as he lost a decision against Carrington Banks. Prior to that fight, six of his seven wins had come by stoppage and four of those came by submission.

  • Open his career with four straight submission victories in the opening round.
  • Five of his six stoppage victories have come in the first round.
  • Holds a TKO victory over Bellator veteran Lloyd Woodard.

Noad Lahat (10-2) vs. Lloyd Carter (11-8)
Lahat was signed by Bellator last year after having four fights in the UFC and won his promotional debut in November against Scott Cleve by submission at Bellator 164. He has won three of his last four fights and two of those wins have come by decision.

  • Five of his ten wins have come by submission.
  • During his four fight stint in the UFC, he scored decision victories over Steven Siler and Niklas Backstrom.
  • Three of his five submission victories have come via rear-naked choke.

Carter initially made his Bellator debut in 2014 at Bellator 112 and was submitted by Diego Marlon. That defeat snapped a two fight winning streak and he enters this fight following a submission defeat against Miguel Torres in September.

  • Prior to the Torres defeat, he had won three in a row and all of those wins came by decision.
  • His last stoppage victory came in 2014 against Josh Robinson at Colosseum Combat 29.
