Another lightweight bout has been added to UFC 159 on April 27th in New Jersey as Rustam Khabilov will face Yancy Medeiros.
UFC officials announced the fight booking today and the fight will take place on the preliminary card, which will be broadcasted on FX and streamed on the UFC Facebook page.
Khabilov (15-1) was signed by the UFC last year and made his debut at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale, which was a knockout victory over Vinc Pichel.
The win was his four straight and two of those wins have come by TKO/KO. Seven of his wins have come by finish in the first round and holds a decision victory over former UFC fighter Jason Dent.
Medeiros (9-0) comes over to the UFC in the merger with Strikeforce and he won both of his fights in Strikeforce. Six of his nine victories have come by TKO/KO and he has only gone to a decision twice in his career.
UFC 159 takes place on April 27th from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Chael Sonnen.
