Rory MacDonald has suffered a cut during training and has been forced out of his UFC 152 bout against B.J. Penn.
UFC President Dana White announced the injury after the UFC on FOX 4 post fight press conference and said the injury happened yesterday in a training session.
White said that UFC match maker Joe Silva informed him of the injury as Mauricio “Shogun” Rua was walking into the octagon last night.
MacDonald addressed the cut on his Twitter account and said that he needed 38 stitches.

White was asked if Penn would stay on the UFC 152 card in Toronto and said he was not sure. Penn has recently said that the fight with MacDonald is what got him to come out of retirement, so he may decided to wait for MacDonald to hear up.
