Two of the three judges scored the fight for Sanchez and he felt that he earned the victory and it was not given to him.

“I feel fortunate to be off the injury list and back in the Octagon doing what I love,” Sanchez said on the Post Fight Show on FUEL TV.  I don’t think this victory was given to me, I think I earned it.”

This was the return to the lightweight division for Sanchez, who did miss weight for this fight as we weighed in at 158 pounds. He improved his UFC lightweight record to 3-1 with the victory and was asked on who he would like to face next.

“Nate Diaz. I want to be the first one to say I beat both the Diaz brothers. I got the big brother, I want the little one next.”

Diaz is already scheduled for a fight in April at UFC on FOX 7 against Josh Thomson and a victory by Diaz could set up a fight with Sanchez. The UFC likes when guys proclaim who they want their next fight to be against and usually they attempt to make the fight happen.
