Another injury has hit the UFC on FOX 7 card on April 20th as Francisco Rivera has pulled out of his fight against Hugo Viana with an undisclosed injury and TJ Dillashaw has agreed to step in against Viana.
UFC officials announced the change on Friday afternoon and the fight will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC on FOX 7 takes place on April 20th from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California with the card being headlined by Benson Henderson defending the UFC lightweight title against Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez.
Dillashaw (7-1) was the runner up on The Ultimate Fighter 14 in late 2011 and has won three straight since that defeat. He defeated Issei Tamura last week at UFC 158 by knockout in the second round and it was his first knockout victory in the UFC.
Viana (7-0) was a contestant on TUF Brazil last year and made it to the semifinals of the reality show. He made his official UFC debut at UFC 147 and defeated John Teixeira by split decision, which was a catchweight bout of 150 pounds. He dropped downed to the bantamweight division in his second UFC bout and defeated Reuben Duran by knockout at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale.
