A featherweight bout has been added to UFC 160 on May 25th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas as Dennis Bermudez will face Max Holloway.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on late Wednesday night and the fight will take place on the preliminary card.
Bermudez (10-3) was a runner up in The Ultimate Fighter 14 as he was defeated by Diego Brandao in the featherweight final. Since losing to Brandao, he has won three in a row and recently defeated Matt Grice by split decision at UFC 157.
During his three fight winning streak, he has won two fight night bonuses as he won the submission of the night bonus at UFC 150 against Tommy Hayden and the fight of the night bonus at UFC 157.
Holloway (7-1) opened his professional career with four straight victories before making his UFC debut in early 2012. His debut in the UFC came against Dustin Poirier at UFC 143 and he was defeated by submission in the first round.
Since losing to Poirier, he has won three in a row with his most recent victory coming at UFC 155 against Leonard Garcia by split decision. During his winning streak, two of his three wins have come by decision with his only stoppage victory coming at UFC 150 against Justin Lawrence.
UFC 160 takes place on May 25th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defending the UFC heavyweight title against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
