Ian McCall vs. Illiarde Santos and John Lineker vs. Phil Harris added to UFC 163

A pair of flyweight bouts have been added to UFC 163 on August 3rd as Ian McCall meets Illiarde Santos and John Lineker faces Phil Harris.

UFC officials announced the fight bookings on Saturday night and both fights are likely to take place on the preliminary card.

UFC 163 takes place from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janerio, Brazil and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against Anthony Pettis.

McCall (11-4-1) was signed by the UFC in late 2011 and has gone 0-2-1 in his three fights in the organization. Prior to entering the UFC, he was considered one of the top flyweight fighters in the world and was on a four fight winning streak.

Santos (27-7-1, 1NC) made his UFC debut earlier this year and was defeated in the first round by Yuri Alcantara. The defeat snapped a six fight winning streak and it was his first defeat since 2011. In his career, he has twelve wins by knockout and six by submission.

Lineker (21-6) entered the UFC last year and lost his debut with the promotion against Louis Gaudinot. Since then, he has won back to back fights and he recently defeated Azamat Gashimov by knockout in the second round at UFC on FX 8.

Harris (22-10, 1NC) also lost his UFC debut and he returned at UFC on FUEL TV 7 and defeated Ulysses Gomez by unanimous decision. It was his fifth career win by decision and thirteen of his career wins have come by submission.
