MMA Referee Steve Mazzagatti has come under fire for his performance in the main event of last week’s World Series of Fighting 3 when Josh Burkman defeated Jon Fitch by guillotine choke.
Burkman let go of the hold after he realize that Fitch was out and it took a second for Mazzagatti to come in and stop the fight. Several people have voiced their opinion about Mazzagatti’s performance including UFC President Dana White.
During last night’s edition of “Inside MMA” on AXS TV, referee John McCarthy gave his thoughts on the situation and the position that Mazzagatti was in when Burkman locked in the submission.
