A bantamweight bout has officially been added to UFC 165 on September 21st in Toronto as Ivan Menjivar will face Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Monday as the bout was reported by various sources last week.
UFC 165 will take place from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on September 21st and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Alexander Gustafsson.
Menjivar (25-10) originally made his debut in the UFC in 2004 and was defeated by Matt Serra. He returned to the promotion in 2011 after the merger with the WEC and has won four of his last six. He is coming off a submission defeat against top UFC contender Urijah Faber and his last two wins in the UFC have come by submission.
Yamamota (18-6 1NC) entered the UFC in early 2011 and has dropped all three of his fights in the organization. His most recent defeat came at UFC 144 to Vaughan Lee at UFC 144 in early 2012 and he will have to get a win against Menjivar to stay in the UFC.

Myles Jury (12-0) vs. Mike Ricci (8-3)
