The UFC will be returning to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on September 21st for UFC 165 and tickets for the fight card will go on sale next week.
For the third time in his career, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will headline a UFC fight card in Toronto and he will be challenged by Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 on September 21st.
“Jon Jones is re-writing the record book for the light heavyweight division,” UFC President Dana White said. “He is one of the pound-for-pound best in the world with a record-tying five straight title defenses by age 25. This bout with Gustafsson is an awesome fight. Alex is a big man plus he’s mean and hungry – and excited for the opportunity to fight Jones.”
Tickets for UFC 165: Jones vs. Gustafsson will go on sale to the public Thursday, July 11 at 10 a.m. ET and are priced at $450, $300, $200, $150, $95 and $75. Tickets will be available at the Air Canada Centre box office, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-855-985-5000 or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
UFC Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to UFC 165 on Tuesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. ET via the UFC Fight Club website. A special Internet ticket pre-sale will be available to UFC newsletter subscribers Wednesday, July 10, starting at 10 a.m. ET. To access this presale, users must register for the UFC newsletter through UFC.com.
Jones and Gustafsson will join UFC Director of Canadian Operations Tom Wright for a public press conference on Tuesday, July 9 at 12 p.m. ET at the Real Sports Bar and Grill in Toronto.
