Jon Fitch will sign with World Series of Fighting

Jon Fitch was released by the UFC two weeks ago and he now has a new organization to compete for as he will sign with the World Series of Fighting tomorrow. WSOF

He made the announcement on Twitter after reports began to surface that he was now a fighter for the World Series of Fighting.

Fitch (24-5-1, 1NC) was released by the UFC on February 20th and was searching for a new organization to compete for. Bellator elected to not sign the former UFC welterweight title contender and the World Series of Fighting expressed interest in signing him.

It has not been officially announced when he will make his debut, but it appears his debut with the organization in June, which is when they will hold their third fight card. He could take on the winner of Josh Burkman and Aaron Simpson, which will take place on March 23rd at WSOF 2. Another potential opponent is former UFC fighter Gerald Harris who expressed interest in the fight on Twitter.
