A featherweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night 53 card on October 4th in Sweden as undefeated Swede Niklas Backstrom will meet Mike Wilkinson. 
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday.
UFC Fight Night 53 will come from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden on October 4th and the event will air on Fight Pass.
Backstrom (8-0, 1NC) signed with the UFC earlier this year and defeated Tom Niinimaki by submission in his UFC debut at the end of May. It was his second career win to come by submission and he won a performance of the night bonus.
Wilkinson (8-1) is returning to action after being on the sidelines for over a year as his last fight came at UFC on FUEL TV 10 last year against Rony Jason. He was defeated by Jason in the first round by submission and it was his first career defeat.
