World Series of Fighting 17 took place this past Saturday night at Axis inside the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on NBCSN and was headlined by Jake Shields securing a title shot with a submission victory over Brian Foster.
According to Nielsen sources, the preliminary overnight ratings for the World Series of Fighting 17 event reached 222,000 total viewers and this is the third straight event that the promotion has seen increased viewership.
The previous two fight cards done by the World Series of Fighting went up against live UFC fight cards and the viewership from Saturday is the first time the promotion has achieved at least 200,000 viewers since World Series of Fighting 14 in October, which was also headlined by Shields.
