The complete fight card has been announced for next month’s Bellator 136 as two of the new matchups on the card are Alexander Volkov vs. Tony Johnson and Fabricio Guerreiro vs. John Teixeira.
The fight bookings were announced by Bellator on Wednesday afternoon.
Bellator 136 will come from the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California on April 10 and will be headlined by Will Brooks defending the lightweight title against Dave Jansen.
Volkov (24-4) has won five in a row since losing the Bellator heavyweight title to Vitaly Minakov in 2013. His last two victories have come outside of Bellator and his last fight in the promotion came at Bellator 120 as he defeated Blagoi Ivanov in the season ten heavyweight tournament final. Johnson (8-2) was recently signed by Bellator and he has won four of his last five. His most recent win came in November as he defeated Robert Neal by TKO in the first round.
Guerreiro (20-3, 1NC) made his Bellator debut in 2013 and has gone 2-2 in the promotion. His last appearance in the cage came at Bellator 120 as he defeated Shahbulat Shamhalaev by submission. Teixeira (17-1-2) won his Bellator debut last year as he defeated Scott Cleve by split decision. He is unbeaten in his last five fights and his only career defeat came at UFC 147 against Hugo Viana.
