The pro debut of Josh Harvey will take place on April 23 in Lewiston, Maine as he will meet Matt Denning in a lightweight bout at New England Fights 22.
Harvey won five of his six fights as an amateur and he was scheduled to fight back in February in an amateur bout. However, that fight did not take place and he decided after that fight fell through that he was going to turn pro. On yesterday’s edition of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Harvey joined the show to talk about his MMA career and explained why he find Denning disrespectful as a person.
“Beyond the matchup, it’s a good matchup for me,” Harvey said about his opponent. “But I find him disrespectful as a person and I want to keep it classy on a podcast. I do not want to speak my full mind. You meet the guy. Talk to him for a minute and you want to fight him. But it depends on which Matt you are talking to. Because he can rub people the wrong way and he can kiss their ass on the same day. That is who he is.”
