Bellator will be heading to the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas on September 16 for Bellator 161 and the event will be headlined by a heavyweight bout as Cheick Kongo will meet Tony Johnson.
The fight booking was announced by Bellator on Friday.
Tickets for Bellator 161: Kongo vs. Johnson will go on sale to the public on Friday, July 29 and they will start at $25. Tickets will be available for purchased at Bellator.com, Ticketmaster, or the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Box Office.
Kongo (24-10-2) has won back to back fights and is coming off a split decision win in February against Vinicius Queiroz. He is 4-1 in his last five fights and his last two wins have come by decision. Johnson (10-2) is currently on a three fight winning streak and two of those wins have come in Bellator. He is coming off a TKO win in January against Raphael Butler and he is 6-1 in his last seven fights.
