Mak Kelleher vs. Dylan Lockard slated for CES MMA 37

A featherweight bout has been added to the CES MMA 37 preliminary card as Mak Kelleher will look for his second professional victory when he meets Dylan Lockard.

The fight booking was announced by CES MMA on Wednesday.

CES MMA 37 will come from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island on August 12 and will be headlined by Andre Soukhamthath defending the CES MMA bantamweight title against Kin Moy.

Kelleher (1-2) is coming off a decision victory at CES MMA 32 in January as he defeated James Murrin. It was his first professional victory and it was his first win since defeating Cortland Woodard as an amateur at Pinnacle FC 9.

“It feels great to come back and fight for CES MMA again,” Kelleher said. It’s always a great show. I’m back on track and training hard, so I am ready to put on another Fight-of-the-Night performance for CES MMA, my family and all the fans — except this time I’m coming even harder for the finish.”

Lockard (0-0) will be making his pro debut after going 4-0 in the amateur ranks. Two of his four wins came by stoppage and he is coming off a stoppage win against Chris Mehu at Combat Zone 56 in November.

“I train to get the finish and that’s exactly what I’m going to do when the cage door locks. I don’t like going to decision; I like going in there and doing what I can to get this finish,” said Lockard. “I haven’t fought in a while, but I’m excited to make up for lost time. You only get one debut as a professional!”
