A heavyweight bout has been added to next week’s UFC Fight Night 96 card in Portland, Oregon as Cody East will meet Curtis Blaydes on the preliminary card.
The fight booking was recently announced by the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 96 will come from the Moda Center and will be headlined by a bantamweight bout as John Lineker meets John Dodson.
East (12-2) lost his UFC debut earlier this year against Walt Harris at UFC 197 and the defeat snapped a nine fight winning streak. Blaydes (5-1) also lost his UFC debut earlier this year as he was defeated by Francis Ngannou at UFC Fight Night 86 and all of his professional wins have come by TKO/KO.
