Bellator NYC will take place next Saturday and the New York State Athletic Commission has made arrangements to have both Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva undergo out-of-competition drug testing prior to next week’s fight card.
New York State Athletic Commission communications department representative Laz Benitez confirmed this news to The MMA Report on Monday after I learned over the weekend that arrangements had been made for both fighters to take part in out-of-competition testing.
Bellator NYC will come from Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday, June 24 and will be available on pay-per-view. Prior to the pay-per-view, Bellator 180 will take place on Spike and will be headlined by a title fight as Phil Davis defends the Bellator light heavyweight title against Ryan Bader.
