Viacom must be really regretting changing the name from Spike to Paramount Network. Spike was a way better fit. Now the programming on Paramount is mostly for women. I don’t agree with Sam Caplan and Luke Thomas that Bellator won’t be around in a year. But they need to find a different network. One that is more manly/ for guys. Like Spike used to be.

If I was Benson Henderson I’d sign with ONE Championship. I think if ONE can sign some more big names/ notable fighters within 2 years they will overtake Bellator for number 2. I think they are number 3 for now.

They need to take out the 15 mins extra they extend because Bellator events end 30-40 mins early. The last 2 ended 20-30 mins early. Just have 3 hrs for tent pole and 2 hrs for non tent pole events.

Or add 6 fights to the big events and 5 fights to the smaller ones.

I will expand on this comment on tomorrow’s podcast, which will come out late in the evening. But the flow and pacing of the Bellator broadcast on Paramount is not good and the same can be said about UFC on FS1. Just being honest, I am not tuning into a fight card to watch people talk about the fights coming up later in the night, I am there to watch the fights. Bellator 207 had too much filler content. I think Mir is a great commentator, but I think his talents would be better serve working play by play with Mike Goldberg.

Back in 2015, Viacom started to make a transition with Spike. They wanted to bring in more shows that would draw a female audience, along with the male audience they already had. Lip Sync Battle is a perfect example of this.

When it comes to Bellator, clearly they are not a fit on Paramount Network. As I have said multiple times on the podcast over the past couple of months, Bellator should attempt to get on FS1 in 2019. I think being on FS1 would benefit them greatly into making the Bellator brand more known with the general sports fan.

When it comes to your comment on Benson, I just want to see him get the most money possible. No preference on where he signs, just want to see fighters get the most money they can.
