“The Pride of Bloomfield” Mark Cherico will be part of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series this week as he will meet Mike Santiago in a featherweight bout.
Cherico (11-1) enters this matchup on a four fight winning streak and three of those victories have come by stoppage. He’s coming off a stoppage victory against Antonio Castillo Jr. in December at Pinnacle FC 15 and his only defeat came in 2014 against current UFC bantamweight Brian Kelleher.
During this week’s episode of “The MMA Report Podcast,” Cherico was a guest on the podcast to preview his matchup against Santiago and explained how he’s aiming for a short notice matchup on next month’s UFC Fight Night card in Pittsburgh.
