Following his lost to Carlos Condit at UFC 143, Nick Diaz announced his retirement from the sport and the fighter will release a statement today at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT about his future.
His manager and trainer Cesar Gracie made the announcement on Twitter and his statement will be released on GracieFighter.com.
@UFC @nickdiaz209 @NateDiaz209 Will be posting a statement regarding Nick Diaz’s future on graciefighter.com at 4pm PST tomorrow

Diaz is currently under suspension with the Nevada State Athletic Commission and can not reapply for a license until February 2013.
He was suspended for a positive drug test for marijuana metabolites in his drug test for the fight. This was his second positive test with the NSAC, which caused the commission to suspend him for one year.
With Diaz making a statement today, does that mean the fighter is planning to come out of retirement and announce he plans to come back in 2013? It would seem that this is what he will announce today, so stay tuned to TheMMAReport.com for updates on this story.
