Lance Benoist replaces Dan Miller against Sean Pierson at UFC 152

Dan Miller recently pulled out of his fight with Sean Pierson at UFC 152 on September 22nd and taking Miller’s place in the fight will be Lance Benoist.

The UFC made the announcement of the new fight yesterday and this bout will take place on the preliminary card. Miller pulled out of the fight this week after he learned his son will be having a kidney replacement surgery.

Benoist (6-1) entered the UFC last year and won his debut against Matt Riddle by decision. He returned to the octagon earlier this summer and was defeated by Seth Baczynski by split decision at UFC on FX 3.

Prior to making his UFC debut, he opened his career with five straight victories and four of those wins came by submission.

Pierson (12-6) has gone 2-2 in the UFC and recently snapped a two fight losing streak at UFC on FX 3. He defeated Jake Hecht by unanimous decision on that card and his other UFC win came in his debut against Riddle.

During his recent two fight losing streak, he lost to top contenders Jake Ellenberger and Dong Hyun Kim.

UFC 152 takes place from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on September 22nd and will be headlined by Jon Jones defending the UFC light heavyweight title against Vitor Belfort.
