Thiago Silva vs. Stanislav Nedkov set for UFC on FUEL TV 6

Thiago Silva was scheduled to return to the octagon at UFC 149 against Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, but an injury forced him off the card.

Silva’s manager Glenn Robinson told Sherdog.com that his client will take part of the UFC on FUEL TV 6 fight card in China and will face Stanislav Nedkov.

Silva (14-3, 1NC) has gone 1-3, 1NC in his last five fights after starting his career with 13 straight victories. His losses in his career have come against Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans and Alexander Gustafsson, with Machida being the only fighter to finish him. He originally defeated Brandon Vera at UFC 125, but the fight was ruled a no-contest after a positive drug test.

Nedkov (12-0) made his UFC debut last year at UFC 134 and defeated Luiz Cane by knockout in the first round. He was scheduled to return earlier this year at UFC 142, but he had visa issues and had to pull out of his fight against Fabio Maldonado.

UFC on FUEL TV 6 takes place on November 10th from the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel’s Cotai Arena in Macau and is expected to be headlined by a middleweight bout as former UFC champion Rich Franklin meets former Strikeforce champion Cung Le.
