UFC 150 Result: Jake Shields wins UFC middleweight debut

Jake Shields move up to the middleweight division for his UFC 150 fight against Ed Herman and scored a unanimous decision victory.

Shields (28-6-1) was able to get Herman to fight him at his style of a fight and easily won a unanimous decision.

The gameplan of Herman appeared to be to grapple with the former Strikeforce champion, which was surprising to Shields.

Shields was able to get the fight to the ground in each round and came close on several occasions to get a submission finish. Herman was able to escape the submission attempts, but he could not get any offense going.

This lost for Herman (20-8) snaps a three fight winning streak and Shields has now won back to back fights.
