In the fourth fight of the preliminary card, Michael Kuiper got his first UFC victory with a TKO victory over Jared Hamman in the second round. 
Kuiper (12-1) nearly finished the fight in the first round, but Hamman was able to survive.
During the opening, Kuiper landed a low kick to the back of the left leg and it wobbled Hamman.
After the round was over, Hamman (13-5) told his corner that he believe the kick torn a muscle in his leg.
In the second round, Kuiper continue to attack the left leg of his opponent and used his striking to get the victory. He rocked Hamman on two seperate occassions in the second round before the referee came in to stop the fight.
This is the seventh career victory by knockout for Kuiper and Hamman has now lost two straight fights.
