The UFC has added Chad Griggs vs. Cyrille Diabate to UFC 154

The UFC 154 has added another bout as former Strikeforce heavyweight Chad Griggs will move down to the light heavyweight division and meet Cyrille Diabate at UFC 154 on November 17th in Montreal.

The UFC made the announcement on Twitter and the fight is expected to take place on the preliminary card.

Griggs (11-2) made his UFC debut earlier this year at UFC 145 in Atlanta and was defeated by Travis Browne in the first round by arm triangle choke submission. He decided after the fight that he would move down to the light heavyweight division and was scheduled to meet Phil Davis at UFC on FOX 4. However, he suffered an injury and had to pull out of the card.

Diabate (18-8-1) has won three of his five fights in the UFC and is coming off a win earlier this year at UFC on FUEL TV 2 against Tom DeBlass. He was originally scheduled to face Fabio Maldonado on this card, but the fight was scratched when Maldonado was moved to the UFC 153 card to face Glover Teixeira.

UFC 154 takes place from the Bell Centre in Montreal on November 17th and is expected to be headlined by Georges St-Pierre meeting Carlos Condit in a UFC welterweight title unification bout.
