The Bellator Fighting Championships will be returning to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida for Bellator 80 on November 9th.
The fight card will be headlined by former Bellator featherweight champion Joe Warren taking on Owen Evinger in a bantamweight bout. Also on the card will be the season seven featherweight semifinals and the return of Jessica Aguilar.
Tickets for Bellator 80 are now on sale and are available on Ticketmaster.com, Bellator.com and the Seminole Hard Rock box office.
“From Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez in the 2011 Fight of the Year to Pat Curran delivering a devastating Peruvian neck-tie submission, The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has been witness to some of our greatest Bellator moments, and I expect nothing but the same November 9th at Bellator 80,” said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney.
Warren (7-3) is currently on a two fight losing streak, with the losses coming against Pat Curran in a title fight and Alexis Vila in the quarterfinals of the season five bantamweight tournament. Prior to his recent losing streak, he had won five in a row, which included winning the Bellator featherweight title and a win over Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.
Evinger (7-3) is a submission fighter and this will be the third time he has stepped into the Bellator cage. He lost both of his fights in Bellator, with the most recent fight in the organization coming at Bellator 56 last year. He is currently on a two fight losing streak and both wins have come by submission.
The main card will be seen live on MTV2 and in commercial free high definition on EPIX at 8 p.m. ET and the preliminary card will be shown exclusively on Spike.com at 6 p.m. ET.
