After injuries to Frank Mir and Luke Rockhold, Strikeforce has announced that the November 3rd card that was scheduled to take place in Oklahoma City has been canceled. 
Strikeforce made the announcement today and is planning for their next card to take place in January of 2013.
“Due to a series of injuries, we were forced to cancel the upcoming card on Nov. 3, but are already working to put together a stacked card in January,” Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said.
Over the past couple of days, there have been rumors about the future of Strikeforce on Showtime. Showtime Sports Executive Vice President & General Manager Stephen Espinoza issued a statement that they are looking forward to having Strikeforce on Showtime next year.
“While we’re disappointed with the cancellation, we are looking forward to an even bigger Strikeforce event on Showtime early next year,” said Espinoza.
Refunds for the November 3rd card are available at the point of purchase and Strikeforce will be announcing the date and venue for their January show card in the near future.
