The final fight of the UFC on FX 5 preliminary card was a lightweight bout as Michael Johnson took on Danny Castillo.
The first two minutes of the fight saw the fighter exchange leg kicks and jabs.
Castillo ended up dropping Johnson with a right hand and jumped on him, while landing several hammer shots. He would end up locking in a arm triangle choke, but was unable to finish the fight.
He maintained top position after he Johnson escaped the submission attempt and worked into side control. Castillo was able to land several shots and Johnson was able to survive the round and make it back to his corner.
Johnson came out as the aggressor in the second round and landed a short left hand that connected and dropped his opponent. Johnson landed a strikes on the ground before the referee came in to stop the fight.
Johnson (12-6) has now won three in a row and this is his second knockout victory in the UFC.
