Shane Carwin has pulled out of his TUF 16 Finale fight against Roy Nelson and the UFC is now searching for a new opponent for Carwin.
The news of the injury was first announced by UFC President Dana White on Twitter.
“WOW!! It never ends Carwin blew his knee out. Looking for a new opponent for Roy on the TUF Finale on FX,” White tweeted.
After the announcement that Carwin was out of the TUF 16 Finale main event, his management team announced on Twitter the injury that Carwin suffered.

Carwin (12-2) has not stepped in the cage since UFC 131 last year, which was a lost against Junior dos Santos by decision. The former interim heavyweight champion recently told “Inside MMA” on AXS TV that he was working is way through a knee injury he suffered in training.
With Carwin out, the UFC will search for a replacement for Nelson and a new opponent should be announced in the next couple of days.
