Another welterweight bout has been added to the UFC 158 card in Montreal as Canadian Sean Pierson will take on Rick Story.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday and the fight will take place on the preliminary card, which is expected to air on FX and Facebook.
Pierson (13-6) made his UFC debut at the end of 2010 at UFC 124 against Matthew Riddle and won by unanimous decision. However, he would lose back to back fights against Jake Ellenberger and Dong Hyun Kim.
Since those defeats, he has won two straight fights with the wins coming against Jake Hecht and Lance Benoit. Both of those wins were by decision and four of his five UFC fights have gone the distance.
Story (14-6) entered the UFC in 2009 and was defeated in his debut against John Hathaway. After that defeat, he went on to win six in a row, which included decision wins over Johny Hendricks and Thiago Alves.
Since that winning streak, he has lost three of four and his only win came against Brock Jardine at UFC on FX 4. His last fight was at UFC 153 in Brazil against Demian Maia and he lost by submission in the first round, which was his first career defeat by submission.
UFC 158 takes place on March 16th from the Bell Centre in Montreal and will be headlined by Georges St-Pierre defending the UFC welterweight title against former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz.
