With UFC on FOX 6 complete, the UFC will now move forward to UFC 156, which takes place on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
Saturday night’s card will be headlined by featherweight champion Jose Aldo (21-1) making his first title defense in nearly 13 months as he will be challeged by former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (14-3-1).
The main card on pay-per-view will also see former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans (22-2-1) stepping into the UFC cage for the first time since UFC 145 last April when he was defeated by Jon Jones in a title fight and he will take on veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (20-5).
Also, Alistair Overeem (36-11-1) returns from suspension and will look to secure a title shot against current UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez when he takes on Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (17-4), who enters this fight after a first round knockout win over Travis Browne at UFC on FX 5.
