The UFC has added three fights to the UFC on FUEL TV 9 card on April 6th from Sweden with the additions begin Ryan Couture vs. Ross Pearson, Matt Mitrione vs. Phil De Fries and Ben Alloway vs. Ryan LaFlare.
In the announcement of the new fights, the UFC did not say if the bouts will be on the main card on FUEL TV or the preliminary card on Facebook.
Couture (6-1) will be making his debut with the UFC and comes over from Strikeforce. He has won four in a row and is coming off a controversial split decision win over K.J. Noons. Pearson (14-6)recently returned to the UFC lightweight division at UFC on FX 6 and defeated George Sotiropoulos by TKO in the third round.
Mitrione (5-2) is currently on a two fight losing streak after winning his first five fights in the UFC. He was most recently defeated by Roy Nelson at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale by knockout in the first round. De Fries (9-2, 1NC) has gone 2-2 in the UFC and was recently defeated by Todd Duffee at UFC 155.
Alloway (13-3) was a contestant on TUF: The Smashes and won his official UFC debut against Manuel Rodriguez at UFC on FX 6 by knockout. It was his sixth straight win and the sixth knockout victory of his career. LaFlare (7-0) was rumored to be on the World Series of Fighting 2 card in March, but he previously had a Strikeforce contract which carried over to the UFC.
UFC on FUEL TV 9 takes place on April 6th from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden and will be headlined by Alexander Gustafsson meeting Gegard Mousasi in a five round light heavyweight bout.
