When Roy Nelson wins in the UFC it’s by knockout and thats what happened on Saturday night at UFC 159 against Cheick Kongo as he won by knockout in the first round.
The two heavyweights opened the fight by clinching against the fence and the referee ended up breaking up the action and had the fighters come back to the center of the cage.
Once the fight was restarted, Nelson landed an overhand right hand that dropped Kongo and finished the fight with a punch on the ground.
Nelson (19-7) has now won back to back fights and proved that he is a top contender in the UFC heavyweight division.
