Joe Lauzon meets Michael Johnson at UFC on FS1 in Boston

The UFC will be returning to Boston for the first time since 2010 for UFC on FS1 on August 17th and a lightweight bout has been agreed to as Joe Lauzon will meet Michael Johnson.

Lauzon (22-8) has been in the UFC since 2006 and is 3-2 in his last five fights. During his UFC career, he has won 11 fight night bonuses with six of those bonuses being for the submission of the night.

His last appearance in the octagon came at UFC 155 against Jim Miller in the co-main event of the fight card. Miller won the fight by unanimous decision and the was declared the fight of the night.

Johnson (12-8) was the runner up in The Ultimate Fighter 12 and is 4-4 in the UFC. After winning three fights in a row during 2012, Johnson has lost back to back fights and is coming off a submission lost to Reza Madadi at UFC on FUEL TV 9 last month.

UFC on Fox Sports 1 takes place on August 17th from the TD Garden and the UFC is expected to announce the main event for the fight card in the near future.
