A welterweight bout has been officially added to UFC 163 on August 3rd in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as Sergio Moraes will face Neil Magny.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday and the fight will be placed on the preliminary card.
Moraes (7-2) is a TUF Brazil Alum and has gone 1-1 in the UFC. He lost his debut with the company at UFC 147 against Cezar Ferreira and picked up his first UFC victory at UFC 153 against Renee Forte.
During his career, six of his seven victories have come by submission and five of the six submissions which includes his rear-naked choke submission win over Forte at UFC 153.
Magny (8-1) was a semifinalist during The Ultimate Fighter 16 and made his official UFC debut earlier this year at UFC 157 against Jon Manley. He won the fight by decision and it was his second straight victory with both wins coming by unanimous decision.
UFC 163 takes place on August 3rd from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against the last WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis.
