A rumored light heavyweight bout is now official for UFC 163 on August 3rd in Brazil as Vinny Magalhaes will meet Anthony Perosh.
The bout was confirmed by UFC officials today and the fight will take place on the preliminary card.
UFC 163 takes place on August 3rd from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will be headlined by Jose Aldo defending the UFC featherweight title against Anthony Pettis.
Magalhaes (10-6, 1NC) is currently in his second stint with the UFC and has gone 1-1 since returning to the company. He was most recently defeated by Phil Davis at UFC 159 in April and it was his first lost since a 2010 defeat to Pedro Galiza in Shark Fights.
Perosh (13-7) is also in his second stint with the UFC and dropped down to the light heavyweight division in 2011 and won his first three fights in the division. He suffered his first defeat as a UFC light heavyweight last year when he was defeated by Ryan Jimmo in seven seconds at UFC 149.
