With visa issues forcing Tyrone Spong to pull out of his World Series of Fighting 3, the new co-main event bout for the fight card will be a welterweight bout between Steve Carl and Tyson Steele.
WSOF has not officially announced the new co-main event but an announcement is expected to come shortly.
WSOF 3 takes place on June 14th from The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Jon Fitch facing Josh Burkman in a welterweight bout.
Carl (19-3) is currently on a five fight winning streak after losing to Douglas Lima in the Bellator season five welterweight tournament. During his recent winning streak, all of the wins have come by submission in the first round and most recently defeated Ramico Blackmon at WSOF 1.
Steele (10-1) was also on the inaugural WSOF event as he defeated Gregor Gracie by TKO in the first round. He is currently on a four fight winning streak and seven of his ten career wins are by submission.
