K.J. Noons meets George Sotiropoulos at UFC 166

A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 166 in Houston as K.J. Noons will meet George Sotiropoulos.

UFC officials confirmed the fight booking on Wednesday evening and the fight will be apart of the preliminary card.

UFC 166 takes place on October 19th from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and will be headlined by Cain Velasquez defending the UFC heavyweight title in his trilogy bout with former champion Junior dos Santos.

Noons (11-7) is currently on a three fight losing streak and is coming off a decision lost to Donald Cerrone in his UFC debut on Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas at UFC 160. His last win came in 2011 against Billy Evangelista by decision and his last six fights have been decided by the judges scorecards.

Sotiropoulos (14-5) is also on a three fight losing streak and was defeated by Ross Pearson by knockout in his last fight at UFC on FX 6 at the end of last year. His last two defeats have come by knockout and his last win was in 2010 against Joe Lauzon at UFC 123.
