A lightweight bout has been added to UFC 164 on August 31st in Milwaukee as as former Strikeforce fighters square off as Ryan Couture will face Quinn Mulhern.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Tuesday afternoon and the fight will take place on the preliminary card of UFC 164.
UFC 164 will come from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee and will be headlined by Benson Henderson defending the UFC lightweight title against TJ Grant.
Couture (6-2) made his UFC debut earlier this year at UFC on FUEL TV 9 against Ross Pearson an was defeated in the second round by TKO. The defeat snapped a four fight winning streak and it was his first defeat by stoppage.
Mulhern (18-3) also made his UFC debut earlier this year and he will be dropping down to the lightweight division for this fight. During his time in Strikeforce, he was a welterweight and won three of his four in the organization.
