The UFC announced this past weekend that they would be heading to Manchester, England and the fight card now as a co-main event as Melvin Guillard will meet Ross Pearson in a lightweight bout.
The bout was announced on Tuesday’s edition of UFC Tonight by FUEL TV reporter Ariel Helwani.
UFC Fight Night on October 26th will come from the Manchester Arena and will be headlined by Michael Bisping facing Mark Munoz in a five round middleweight bout.
Guillard (31-12-2, 1NC) has been in the UFC since 2005 and most recently defeated Mac Danzig on the UFC on FOX 8 preliminary card by knockout. It was his 20th career win by knockout and three of his last four wins have come by knockout.
Pearson (15-6) has won back to back fights since returning to the lightweight division and both of those wins have come by TKO. His most recent victory came in April when he defeated Ryan Couture at UFC on FUEL TV 9.
UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Munoz will air on Fox Sports 2, which is currently known as FUEL TV. More fights and ticket information is expected to be announced shortly by the Las Vegas based promotion.
