WSOF 4 Medical Suspensions: Cavalcante, Griffin and Harris among fighters facing 6 month suspension

World Series of Fighting 4 took place this past Saturday night and the medical suspensions have been released by the commission.WSOF 4 Poster #2

The California State Athletic Commission released the information to TheMMAReport.com on Monday with several fighters receiving a suspension of 180 days.

WSOF 4 took place from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California and Tyrone Spong defeated Angel DeAnda in the main event.

Gesias Cavalcante, Tyson Griffin, Gerald Harris, Antonio McKee, John Robles and Victor Valenzuela all received a suspension of 180 days and the suspension can be reduced if they are cleared by a doctor.

The complete WSOF 4 medical suspensions are below.

  • Brandon Hempleman: 60 days with no contact during training for 60 days due to a forehead laceration unless cleared early by a physician
  • Ray Sefo: 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days for precautionary reasons
  • Gesias Cavalcante: 180 days with no contact during training for 180 days due to a knee injury, unless cleared early by a physician
  • Tyson Griffin: 180 days with no contact during training for 180 days due to a neck injury unless cleared early by a physician
  • Gerald Harris: 180 days with no contact during training for 180 days due to a possible hand fracture unless cleared early by a physician
  • Lewis Gonzales: 60 days with no contact during training for 60 days due to an eyelid laceration unless cleared early by a physician
  • Antonio McKee: 180 days with no contact during training for 180 days due to vision loss in his right eye unless cleared early by a neurologist
  • John Robles: 180 days with no contact during training for 180 days due to possible shoulder, knee and elbow injuries unless cleared early by a physician
  • Victor Valenzuela: 180 days with no contact during training for 180 days due to a possible knee injury unless cleared early by a physician
