A middleweight bout that was scheduled to take place last year has now been scheduled to take place as Cezar Ferreira will meet Daniel Sarafian in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 32.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday as Ferreira and Sarafian were initially scheduled to meet in the middleweight final of “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil” but an injury suffered by Sarafian forced him out of the fight.
UFC Fight Night 32 will take place on November 9th at the Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil and will be headlined by a five round light heavyweight bout as Vitor Belfort meets Dan Henderson.
Ferreira (6-2) has won his first two fights in the UFC and is coming off a first round submission victory over Thiago Santos at UFC 163 last month. It was the third time he has won a fight in the first round and five of his six wins have come by stoppage.
Sarafian (8-3) dropped his UFC debut against C.B. Dollaway at the beginning of this year and won his first UFC fight in June as he defeated Eddie Mendez by submission in the first round at UFC on FUEL TV 9. It was his third straight victory by submission and seven of his eight career victories have come by submission.
The UFC will be announcing more fights for this upcoming Fight Night card on Fox Sports 1 in the coming weeks.
