A middleweight bout has been added to UFC Fight Night 31: Fight for the Troops 3 as Derek Brunson will meet Antonio Brago Neto.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Monday evening and the bout will likely be apart of the preliminary card.
UFC Fight Night 31: Fight for the Troops 3 will take place on November 6th from Fort Campbell, Kentucky and will be headlined by Lyoto Machida making his UFC middleweight debut against Tim Kennedy.
Brunson (10-2) entered the UFC at the end of last year after winning three of his four fights in Strikeforce. His debut came at UFC 155 against Chris Leben and he won the fight by unanimous decision. He had been booked for bouts earlier this year but the books were scratched due to injuries suffered by him or his opponent.
Neto (9-1, 1NC) is currently on a four fight win streak and defeated Anthony Smith by submission at UFC on FUEL TV 10 in his UFC debut. During his current winning streak, all of his wins have come by submission and the last two victories have come by kneebar.
