A flyweight bout has been added to UFC on FOX 9 in December as former title challenger John Moraga will meet Darren Uyenoyama.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Sunday evening and the bout will likely take place on the preliminary card broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
UFC on FOX 9 will come from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on December 14th and will be headlined by Anthony Pettis defending the UFC lightweight title against Josh Thomson.
Moraga (13-2) is coming off a submission defeat to flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC on FOX 8. The defeat snapped a seven fight win streak and it was his first defeat by stoppage.
Uyenoyama (8-4) opened his UFC career with back to back victories including a submission win over Phil Harris at UFC on FX 5. He was defeated by Joseph Benavidez at UFC on FOX 7 in his last fight by TKO in the second round and it was his first career defeat by TKO.
