A lightweight bout has been added to UFFC 168 on December 28th as Michael Johnson will meet Gleison Tibau.
UFC officials announced the fight booking on Wednesday night and it’s likely that the bout will be apart of the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1.
UFC 168 will come from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on December 28th and will be headlined by a rematch as Chris Weidman defends the UFC middleweight title against former champion Anderson Silva.
Johnson (13-8) entered the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter 12 and was a finalist in that season. After losing two of his first three fights, he won three in a row before losing back to back fights in late 2012 and early 2013. He will enter this fight coming off a win as he defeated Joe Lauzon at UFC Fight Night 26 last month.
Tibau (28-9) has one of the longest tenures in the UFC as he has been in the organization since 2006. He has won back to back fights and he most recently defeated former WEC champion Jamie Varner at UFC 164 by split decision.

Ronda Rousey (7-0) vs. Miesha Tate (13-4)
