Nam Phan drops to bantamweight and meets Takeya Mizugaki at UFC Fight Night 33

Ultimate Fighter alum Nam Phan is dropping down to the bantamweight division at UFC Fight Night 33 in Australia and will face Takeya Mizugaki.

UFC officials announced the fight booking on Friday evening and the bout could be apart of the main car broadcast of Fox Sports 1.

UFC Fight Night 33 will take place from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in on December 7th in Australia and will be headlined by Mark Hunt meeting Antonio Silva in a heavyweight bout. The event will air live in the United States on December 6th, due to the time difference between United States and Australia.

Phan (18-11) made his debut in the UFC in late 2010 and has gone 2-4 as a featherweight. He has dropped two of his last three fights including a decision lost to Dennis Siver.

Mizugaki (18-7-2) is currently on a three fight winning streak and has won four of his last five fights in the UFC. His last two victories have come by split decision with the most recently victory coming at UFC Fight Night 27 against Erik Perez.
